Truck Wash Methods

We wash trucks the way you want..

There are many ways to wash a truck!

Our aim is to find out how you want yours washed and then do it that way, consistently!

Time taken and fleet numbers matter.

We all know drivers that will spend 4 hours washing their tractor unit until it dazzles.... That enthusiasm and attention to detail has to be applauded, but it is not much help to a fleet manager that also has a fleet of 30+ trailers to get washed with limited time and staff to do it over the weekend!

Likewise, if your fleet reflects you and the pride you have in your business, you want it ALL WASHED to a high standard.

We can do both..

Our ADVANCED FOAM SYSTEM cleans quickly and to a consistently high standard. Used weekly, it quickly and easily cuts through a weeks worth of traffic film and dirt to keep ALL OF YOUR FLEET clean at a low cost per wash.

BRUSHING ALWAYS HELPS, but it does take more time.

We can plan for extra time and combine the use of quality VIKAN brushes with our ADVANCED FOAM SYSTEM for cleaning results that really please but are achieved in a fraction of the time of using a brush with a standard TFR.

Now, for the details…

  • Why is our foam system advanced?

We use a quality branded chemical that typically contains three times the active cleaning components of a standard traffic film remover.
The chemical composition is matched to a metered dosing system and a bespoke foam lance, so exactly the right amount of chemical is delivered to your vehicle.

  • How does it clean better than other products without brushing?

Not all foams are equal.
Foam is just another method of delivering cleaning chemical to your vehicle but it stays on the vehicle longer so it has more time to soften and absorb the dirt.

Two foaming cleaners that look very similar on application will perform differently if the quantity and quality of cleaning components inside the foam are different.

Our foam stays on the vehicle for a good amount of time, allowing the powerful cleaning agents time to soften and lift the traffic film from your vehicle. The affect can be seen in this video, with the foam residue and dirt simply rinsed off with the cold water pressure washer.

  • Is your chemical caustic?

We use alkaline based cleaners and can offer a non-caustic option.  Both options are classed as Biodegradable under Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.

We invest in Safecontractor to ensure quality training for our staff in the safe use of cleaning products. We also use highly accurate dosage systems limited at 5% (20:1 dilution) and are happy to protect our clients with insured services.

Talk to us if you have any concerns about cleaning products and we will help you identify alternative solutions to protect your fleet.

  • Why do you need to brush then?

The cleaning chemical is designed to remove a typical weeks worth of dirt and traffic film without brushing.

During hot weather or when a vehicle is not washed for weeks, the traffic film builds up in thicker layers and may also be dried hard by the sun. The cleaning component may not have the capacity or the time on one application to soften to the base of the traffic film layer.

You could wash again with the foam but it is easier and faster to use a brush to physically remove the lower layers of dirt from your vehicle and let the foam help to rinse it all away.

The key to low cost fleet cleaning without brushing is - wash regularly...
